The iCULTURE project is pleased to share the official report from the multistakeholder workshop “Ensuring Sustainable Seaweed Biomass Provision,” held on 27 March 2026.

The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across policy, research, and industry to explore how to ensure a sustainable, scalable, and resilient supply of seaweed biomass in Europe.

Building on keynote contributions and interactive exchanges, the workshop created a space for participants to collaboratively identify key challenges, opportunities, and priorities for the sector.

The newly released report consolidates these discussions into a structured set of insights, bringing together:

• Key barriers and challenges affecting sustainable seaweed biomass provision
• Existing solutions 
• Strategic recommendations

To further support collaboration and knowledge exchange, the report also includes the list of contacts shared by participants during the workshop, facilitating continued dialogue and networking within the community.

The report reflects a collective effort to move from dialogue to actionable knowledge, supporting ongoing research, policy development, and industrial innovation in the field.
